The bay of Pollensa is home to a multitude of luxury yachts, as well as plenty of colorful local fishing boats.  On the nearby beaches you can find plenty of water sports and places to sit and have a drink or a meal.  The warm shallow waters of the bay make this area especially popular with families with small children.

The main feature of Puerto Pollenca is the dramatic Sierra de Tramuntana mountain range that surrounds and shelters the town.  If you are up for a serious hike on your vacation you can choose from numerous trails into these hills, where you can catch the best views back over the bay.

You will find the Puerto Pollenca area beaches quite tranquil compared to most of the other beaches on the island, but if you are looking for an afternoon of adventure the Hidropark and mini-golf course in Alcudia is only a 10 minute drive away in your car hire Majorca.
